JAY HELEKAR, LEED AP BD+C
PRINCIPAL
Mr. Helekar is the Founder and Principal of HL Construction Management, and has provided consulting estimating services since 1998. He has been running this organization successfully with a steady growth, maintaining an excellent reputation. Mr. Helekar has diversified experience, ranging from preconstruction manager to a general contractor. He has expertise on sustainability construction techniques and multiple project delivery.
As Principal of HL Construction Management, Mr. Helekar directs all activities within the organization, and develops the mission and strategic vision for the firm. He studies the market for new business opportunities, and formulation of long-term strategic decisions in the area of construction estimating services. His major responsibility is to create and ensure long-standing client relationships as part of its core beliefs. He develops the strategies for directing the estimating team functions, and monitors project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Mr. Helekar brings his creative and expert skills to his work, which includes cost estimating, LEED analysis, value engineering, constructability reviews, master planning, and scheduling. Mr. Helekar is also a skilled mediator, participating in change order preparation, validation and negotiation.

RYAN CRAVEN, CPE
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
Mr. Craven has worked as a consultant in the construction industry since 2006. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Engineering, and is a Certified Professional Estimator (CPE). He has a well-rounded background in the Education, Recreation, Corporate, Industrial, Public Works, Government, Judicial, Correctional, Hospitality, Healthcare, Luxury Residential, Themed Entertainment, and Retail sectors.
As Executive Vice President at HL Construction Management, Mr. Craven is responsible for project management, contracts, field operations, and compliance for all the company’s projects. He participates in all aspects of managing the company, including business planning, budget preparation, and forecasting.
Mr. Craven is an expert in construction cost estimating, including master-planning, conceptual, schematic design development and construction document phases. He is also a skilled mediator, participating in change order preparation, validation and negotiation. Mr. Craven has reconciliation experience with general contractors and subcontractors, and communicates well with all design team members, promoting open door dialogue and effective project solutions.
With a strong understanding of the work breakdown structure and the overall construction process, he is able to develop estimates while meeting tight deadlines. Mr. Craven has provided cost management services, including change order analysis negotiations, on projects ranging in value up to $2.5 billion.

Alton Sabaot
REGIONAL MANAGER
Alton Sabaot has been involved in the construction services industry since 2000.
As Regional Director of HL Construction Management, Mr. Sabaot is responsible for the firm’s regional area’s construction estimating operations, serving as the prime liaison with clients, servicing the tasks, and negotiating contracts.
Alton has experience with a variety of project types, including Educational (both K12 and Higher Education), Gaming, Hospitality, Residential, Government, and Healthcare projects, with budgets ranging from less than $1 million to more than $100 million.
He is responsible for the preparation of estimates for new construction, renovation, and repair projects. Alton prepares quantities and prices for civil, structural, and architectural project elements, from conceptual design phase through to construction document level. He is able to develop accurate estimates, while meeting tight deadlines.
Mr. Sabaot is knowledgeable in detailed quantity takeoffs, obtaining price quotes, and coordinating and incorporating estimates from various trades as well as detailed change orders. For the preparation of estimates, he utilizes On-Screen Takeoff software to provide electronic takeoffs and quantities, Microsoft Excel, as well as Success Estimator, 4-Clicks and MII for U.S. Military projects.

Wrey Farrales
CHIEF ESTIMATOR
Wrey Farrales has been involved in the construction services industry since 1988. He is responsible for the preparation of estimates for new construction, renovation, educational projects, both K12 and Higher Education, and repair projects. He prepares quantities and prices for Civil, Structural, and Architectural project elements, from conceptual design phase, through to construction document level.
As Chief Estimator of HL Construction Management, Mr. Farrales is responsible for managing and directing the organization’s estimating functions. He directs all activities within the estimating department, including budgeting, staff scheduling and development.
With a strong background in Civil Engineering, he understands the unique requirements of specific project elements, and is able to incorporate this knowledge into preparing project estimates.
Mr. Farrales has extensive experience utilizing Auto Cad, On-Screen take-off (OST), Success Estimator, Parametric Cost Engineering System (PACES), Revit Quantity Extraction, and Microsoft Project software. He is knowledgeable in scheduling detailed quantity takeoffs, obtaining price quotes, and coordinating and incorporating estimates from various trades, as well as detailed change orders.
Mr. Farrales has performed construction planning and preparation, including construction schedules, manpower and equipment loadings, and material delivery schedules. He has provided construction site supervision, plan and specification interpretation, as well as quality control engineering.

Joan Rickers
BUSINESS MANAGER
Joan Rickers is responsible for overseeing the company’s marketing efforts, and accounting operations. She brings expertise to the bidding process and publishing of RFP’s.
Her background includes an understanding of multiple procurement methods, and the fundamentals of the OST software, which contributes to quality content and a successful outcome to complicated RFP’s.
Joan’s primary role is to oversee all aspects of the organization, and provide sound business models that are specific to our estimating consulting industry.
She collaborates with the estimating team in building a professional brand of consulting estimating services in our industry, and expanding our client relationships.
